  • 2 15 oz. cans garbanzo beans rinsed and drained
  • 1-2 garlic cloves chopped
  • 4 T. lemon juice juice of 1-2 large lemons
  • 1/2 cup tahini paste
  • 1/3 cup olive oil extra virgin
  • 1/3 cup water filtered
  • 1/2 t. cumin
  • 1 1/2 t. salt kosher
  • paprika to taste


  • Peel garbanzo beans and place in a large food processor bowl. Add remaining ingredients and process until smooth. Add additional lemon juice for brightness, olive oil for creaminess and salt to taste. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
